The terms, in plain English.

We've tried to write these so you can actually read them. The shorter version: Quotefor produces itemised estimates from your walkthrough, free for homeowners. Any work you commission — including price, timing and warranty — is contracted directly between you and your tradie.

01 — USING THE SERVICE

The basics.

Who we are, what we do, what you can do.

Quotefor.au is a service operated by Tailor Pty Ltd (ABN 00 000 000 000). By using the site or accepting a quote you agree to these terms.

  • You must be 18 or older and the owner (or authorised representative) of the property you're getting quoted.
  • Quotes are estimates with a tradie sign-off. The estimate becomes a binding price only when a tradie confirms the scope and you both agree it — until then it stays indicative.
  • Variations only apply if you change scope after acceptance, or if a genuinely unforeseeable condition is discovered during work (e.g. concealed asbestos). We don't bill variations for things that should have been spotted at quote time.

Cancellations and refunds

You can cancel any accepted quote up to 48 hours before the scheduled start with a full refund. Cancellations inside 48 hours forfeit a small mobilisation fee (typically 5% of the job value), which compensates the tradie for the time blocked out. We will always try to reschedule rather than cancel.

Workmanship and warranty

Any warranty on the workmanship for your job is provided by the tradie who does the work and agreed directly between you — Quotefor is not a party to it. Ask your tradie for their warranty terms in writing before work starts.

This is a placeholder summary. Final terms will be reviewed by legal before launch.
